What Can Affect Your White Smile?
Basically there are two types of stains that could affect your pearly white teeth, these are:
a. Extrinsic stains. They are stains on the surface of the tooth. Their causes include tobacco products, foods and drinks (such as coffee, tea and berries), and tartar.
b. Intrinsic stains. On the other hand, intrinsic stains are those that lie beneath the surface and are very difficult to remove. These stains can become part of the tooth and can be caused by:
- Ageing
- Medications
- Trauma
